High Seas Rings Play now

Privacy policy

Last updated 24 October 2026. This policy covers the Leekha app for Android and iPhone, the browser version at https://play.highseasrings.uk, and this website.

The short version

  • There's no account, no advertising and no analytics or tracking.
  • Games against bots never leave your device.
  • When you play online, the name you choose and your moves pass through our game server, and they're gone when the table closes.
  • We don't sell or share your information.

Who we are

Leekha and this website are run by HIGH SEAS RINGS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17042805). We're the controller of the personal information described here. For anything about privacy, email privacy@highseasrings.uk.

What stays on your device

The app keeps these on your phone (the browser version keeps them in your browser's storage for this site):

  • your settings, such as sound, speed and card style;
  • your statistics and your saved games;
  • the name you use for online play;
  • for two minutes after you leave an online table, a code that lets you rejoin it.

None of this is sent to us, and we can't see it. Uninstalling the app, clearing its storage, or clearing this site's data in your browser deletes it.

Playing online

When you create or join a table with Play with friends, the app connects to our game server, which runs at Fly.io in Frankfurt, Germany. The server receives:

  • the name you enter, which the other players at the table see;
  • your moves (cards played, calls and bids) and whether you're connected;
  • the technical details every internet connection carries, such as your IP address.

We use these only to run the game you asked to play. The server holds each table in memory while it's open and doesn't write names, moves or game histories to disk or to a database: when the table closes, it's gone. Other players never receive your cards; each phone gets only what its own seat may see. Our hosting provider may keep short-lived technical logs, such as connection records, to run and protect its service.

Under UK data protection law, our legal basis is that this is needed to provide the online game you've asked to play.

This website and the browser version

This website and the browser version of the game are hosted by Cloudflare. They use no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the details of each request in order to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. The browser version stores the same things on your device as the app does (see above), only so that the game works.

When you email us

If you email us, we use your email address and what you write to reply to you. Mail sent to our addresses is forwarded by Cloudflare to a mailbox hosted by Google. We keep correspondence for as long as we need it to help you, and no longer than two years.

What the app can access on your phone

The app asks for internet and network access (for online play), vibration (for haptic feedback), audio settings (for music and sound effects), and permission to keep the screen on during a game. It doesn't use your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or files.

Who else handles your information

We don't sell or share personal information. The service providers above handle it on our behalf: Fly.io (game server), Cloudflare (website hosting and email forwarding) and Google (email). Some of them are based in the United States and may process information there, under safeguards approved for transfers from the UK.

Children

Leekha is suitable for all ages and doesn't ask anyone for their age, email address or any account details. For online play we suggest children use a nickname rather than their real name.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Because we don't keep information about players, there's usually nothing for us to hand over or delete, but write to privacy@highseasrings.uk and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we add features that use more information, such as accounts or in-app purchases, we'll update this policy before they launch and change the date at the top.
